An Agent-Based Simulation to Explore Communication in a System to Control Urban Traffic with Smart Traffic Lights

Populational growth increases the number of cars and makes transport infrastructure increasingly saturated. The control traffic lights by intelligent software is a promising way to solve problem caused this situation. This article addresses that occurs in urban traffic. An agent-based simulation an system proposed. solution offered as agents alleviate congestion at given location. Each agent controls crossing maintains communication with from other corners. Thus, they can have greater larger area identify patterns help them problems. results our simulated experiments point improvement when using proposed Multiagent System, comparison approach uses without implements static lights.
